Radiology MRI Technologist

Overview
The MRI Tech provides quality patient care and performs resonance procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing the best quality images possible for the interpretation by a Radiologist. The MRI technologist will maintain a safe, professional and appropriate work enviroment within the MRI department. THe MRI technologist will provide the best quality patient care and recognize the patient's physiological and physical needs for successful completion of the MRI procedure. The MRI technologist will assure appropriate patient care management, perform departmental related duties, and adjust daily operations to meet the needs of a changing work enviroment.

Responsibilities
PART III: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)Applies principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others. Selects and operates pulsing sequences.Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures. Assumes responsiblity for assigned areas and reports equipment malfunction.Attends monthly department meetings.Available on an 'On Call' basis for emergency procedures and administrative direction when necessary.Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure. Verifies informed consent for and assists Radiologist with interventional procedures.Evaluates images for technical quality, manipulates display parameters and provides hard copy record of procedure. Follows policies and procedures for sedation.Maintains storage of digitized data and records as appropriate.May be responsible for specific quality control duties in the department.Participates in department's quality assessment and improvement plan.Prepares patient, positions patient and equipment for procedure to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest.Provides input for equipment purchase and supply decision. May be responsible for control of inventory and purchase of supplies for assigned area.Provides practical instructions and participates in teaching program for students and healthcare professionals. Provides patient education when necessary.Responsible for all safety regulations in assigned area of supervision. Interprets departmental and hospital rules and regulations.Selects and operates magnetic resonance system, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment.Understands methods and is capable of performing venipunctures. Prepares, identifies and/or administers contrast media and/or medications as prescribed. Practices aseptic techniques when necessary.Verifies informed consent.
Qualifications
Experience/Education Requirements:
Should be experienced in medical imaging technology demonstrating competency to successfully complete magnetic resonance imaging procedures and maintain additional education in sectional anatomy. License or Certification Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA accredited program in MRI or equivalent.
Required Registration in MRI by ARRT

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
